STATUS

May 14 - A couple of you have asked about costs. I have already purchased tickets and for those that are going to all 4 games the cost will be $98. This does not include transportation or accomodations. From Atlanta, which I am estimating to be the common starting place for everyone together, the transportation cost is estimated to be approximately $88 per head. This assumes $3.30/gallon for gas, a $325 rental van, some minor slop in miles and a little wear and tear for my car. Details about who's coming can be found below (click on the graphic for a clearer view).

March 16 - Well it looks like it's settled we know have 13 core folks committed to the trip and two and a half potential additional for Atlanta (Bill, Andrea and future Hall of Fame lefty Isabella). Check out this link for the most recent people status.

Now, tickets... I will be unavailable this next week (3/18 - 3/24) and will be purchasing tickets March 31. I plan on averaging about $35 per ticket again this year. Maybe one game in the bleachers and one game primo and the rest somewhere in between.

I will start a transportation discussion thread on the group to get thoughts percolating on that.

Thanks for the response. BO'07 here we come.

March 10 - Response has been far from stellar. With only a week to go before tickets are purchased I have only heard officially from 7 parties.

Come on... It'll be fun and only 3-4 days off from work. Please let me know either way. Thanks.

February 18 - The decision has been made on games and route. See below:

Saturday June 23

Sunday June 24

Monday June 25

Return flights/return van

A possible option for transport could be van from Rochester to Chicago to pick up the Chicago crew. Continuing on the way to Atlanta we could pick up the Columbus crew in Cinci. In Atlanta we could pick up an RV and continue on to Vero Beach.

I will be making Ticket purchases by the end of March so I am requesting that your decision to participate in this year's BO be made before March 16. Please let me know and I will consolidate the information and post it here.

OK, so now take a look at these options, consider your availability, and then submit your top 3 or 4 choices in the forum. I'm hoping to be able to narrow this down by the first or second week of February.

On a lighter note, the "Rhythmic Clap" project is a bit slow in production - lining up talent is a bear...what a bunch of prima donnas. Anyway, here's a little teaser for your viewing pleasure.

November 29 - First update for 2007 planning. Attached below is a spreadsheet that contains home schedules of candidate stadiums for both the proposed Northwest and Southeast BO swings. This is my traditional view for determining the best sequence of games. You'll find across the top the two areas and the teams' order from left to right by location. That is, the cities are in a logical transportation sequence. Below each heading is the home schedule of each team. The trick is to find a cluster of games that allows a reasonable transportation sequence. I have colored in some of the "clusters" that have strong possibilities. Take a gander. Maybe you can find the magical combination.
